About the size of a glasses case, this portable audio system has two magnetically-shielded 3.5-watt aluminum cone speakers that connect to an iPod or similar MP3 player to produce high-quality sound, allowing audio playback of traditional MP3 players without headphones or connection to larger systems. The unit folds into a sturdy self-contained case that is lightweight, easy to store, and fits in a carry-on bag or briefcase. In addition to standard volume buttons, it has a bass boost button for increased sound output, and has a 3 1/2mm stereo output and USB cable for connection to a laptop or desktop computer. Requires four AA batteries.
