This is the handpainted children's book that personalizes and modernizes the classic Twelve Days of Christmas story. The book recounts the week and a half leading up to the modern-day holiday, from penning a letter to Santa to shopping for gifts to preparing a turkey, all told in rhyming verse and large-print type. A child's first name is incorporated once on each spread within a whimsical illustration that portrays the day's activity. The standard carol lyrics are included at the back so a child can learn about the original turtle dove pair and drumming drummers, and the title page may be inscribed with a personalized note up to 80 characters.
