This is the kit that analyzes a dog’s DNA and provides scientific information for assessing potential health risks, physical characteristics, and behavioral tendencies. After acquiring a sample by rubbing the included cotton swap along the inside of the dog’s cheek, one sends it to a lab using the provided pre-paid envelope. The professional laboratory analyzes the DNA sample and compares the unique sequences in the canine’s genome with DNA markers of over 250 breeds. A free interactive online account displays the DNA results including breed-specific characteristics, genetic disorders, and dietary recommendations. The account also enables a pet owner to monitor their dog’s weight, nutrition, and medication. Results take three weeks.
