This is the train that recreates the excitement of the animated film The Polar Express. Made by Lionel, the train is hauled by a die-cast metal, O-gauge version of a Pere Marquette Berkshire 1225 steam locomotive, complete with a working smokestack (includes smoke fluid) and headlight. Following is its coal tender (which houses the train's air whistle) and two passenger coaches with a third passenger coach that has a rounded observation platform at its rear. All coaches have interior lighting with silhouettes in the windows suggesting lucky riders destined to meet Santa, and are painted in the same vintage red and blue color scheme from the movie, including the gold letters that spell out "Polar Express." Includes four articulated figures representing the movie's characters: the Conductor, the Boy, and the two train engineers Smoky and Steamer. The 12-piece track forms a 60" L x 40" W oval; includes transformer that provides forward and backward movement. Ages 8 and up. (24 lbs.)
