This is the pop-up tent that serves as the interplanetary command post for young space explorers. Made from 190-denier polyester taffeta with a polyurethane coating—ideal for withstanding the vacuum of space as well as a backyard’s chill—the tent’s four tunnels evoke the sprawling modules of a space station. Painted viewports and control interfaces, and screened tunnel ceilings and a screened section of the dome encourage imaginative play during celestial observations. Each tunnel “docks” with openings in the tent’s walls, springing into shape from their coiled storage position, allowing the tent to serve as the nerve center for all exploration. The tent goes up easily using its sturdy, shock-cord fiberglass poles to form a waterproof polyethylene floor that ensures dry missions—and happy astronauts. Includes storage bag. Ages 3 and up.
