Product Story
This is the portable radio that receives every radio wavelength across the globe, while delivering clear, distortion free sound. Operating at 150-285 kHz, longwave signals are used by low-frequency experimental radio (LowFER) communications as well as ITU Region 1 broadcasters in Europe and as far away as Mongolia. The radio also operates in the shortwave band (1711 kHz - 30 MHz) with single-sideband (SSB) tuning for listening to two-way shortwave communications. In addition to AM/FM reception, it can listen to civilian aircraft radio transmissions in the 118-136 MHz frequency band. It stores up to 700 stations, has a telescoping FM antenna, and comes with a leather case. AC adapter or four AA batteries (required). 4 1/4" H x 6 1/2" W x 1 1/4" D. (1 lb.)
