The Seated Body Lean Directed Transporter

This is the self-balancing personal transporter that utilizes a micro-processor controlled gyroscope for intuitive handling. Detecting the slightest shift in a rider’s position and responding in 30 milliseconds for smooth, stress-free touring, the transporter requires one to simply lean forward or backward to accelerate, steer, or slow. Its 520-watt magnetic levitation motor provides smooth acceleration to a top speed of 11 mph. An electronic brake controlled from the silicone handgrip brings the transporter’s 16" wheels to a rapid, controlled stop. Its 4" LED screen shows speed, temperature, power, mileage, and battery life. A rider sits in comfortable, natural posture on a padded leather saddle mounted to a hydraulic shock absorber. Its Li-ion battery delivers up to a 62-mile range (on a 2° slope), recharges in three hours using an included AC adapter, and features six layers of safety protection.
