The Self Amplifying Electric Guitar

Unlike other electric guitars that require a separate amplifier, this electric guitar has a built-in pre-amp that enables it to play through any audio source, including a computer, stereo system, or headphones. The pre-amp uses analog modeling technology to deliver responsive tones--similar to those produced by typical tube amplifiers--and it has a switch that provides both clean and distorted effects, without requiring separate effects pedals. Two double-coil humbucking pickups generate crisp, clean sound and warm distortion. The cutaway body is made of basswood, and the satin-finished maple neck has a rosewood fingerboard. The tuning machines, bridge, tailpiece, and string retainer are all made of chrome. The guitar may also be played through a standard guitar amplifier. Includes a padded case and 1/4" and 1/8" adapters for plugging into any audio source. Requires one 9-volt battery. 38" L x 13" W x 2" D. (8 1/2 lbs.)
