The Solar Hand Crank Power Radio

This is the radio and cell phone charger powered by a built-in solar cell or a handcrank dynamo, helping you stay connected in the absence of battery or AC power. The unit's solar panel generates enough power to operate the radio in direct sunlight, or can fully recharge the internal Ni-MH batteries for 5-6 hours of operation from an 8-10 hour charge. The dynamo provides approximately 10 minutes of radio operation from 90 seconds of cranking, and can be used with the solar panel to reduce battery recharge time. The radio receives AM/FM, shortwave, seven channels of National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) weather information, and consolidates several additional emergency tools in one handheld unit, including an LED flashlight, a flashing alert light, an emergency siren, and a digital alarm clock. The device's lightweight housing and compact size make it ideal for storage and use while camping, in a car trunk when traveling, or during storms and power outages. It can also be powered by an AC adapter or three AA batteries (not included).
