The Solar Lighted Helix Wind Sculpture

Shaped like the double-helix of human DNA, this steel wind sculpture has four nodes that capture the slightest breeze to set the frame gently spinning around a central ball that contains an LED that glows softly at night for up to 6 hours. The sculpture can be hung from a tree, deck, or eave, in a location where the ball can gather sunlight in its solar panel to power the rechargeable NiCad battery inside. At nightfall, a sensor in the ball automatically detects the changing light and activates the LED, generating a soft yellow glow suspended amidst the twirling lines of the wind sculpture. The solar ball has an on/off switch to deactivate the light function if desired. The steel tubing of the sculpture is powder-coated with a verdigris finish that resists outdoor weather conditions for a lifetime of year-round use.
