The Solar Observation Telescope

This is the telescope specifically engineered to enable safe solar observation. This Newtonian reflector has a removable CE-certified white-light solar filter that provides stunning views of the sun’s photosphere. The telescope’s 76mm aperture, 700mm focal length, and two (26mm and 9mm) modified achromatic eyepieces work in concert with the filter to magnify images of sunspots in complete safety. Can also be used for nighttime viewing without the filter. The telescope is mounted to a tripod that provides smooth manual tracking of celestial objects with fine slow-motion control. A locking aluminum accessory tray mounts to the tripod for swapping out eyepieces. The optical tube has a red dot viewfinder for nighttime viewing. 32 1/2" L x 13 1/2" W x 7 3/4" D. (7 1/4 lbs.)
