The Solar Powered Wireless iPod Speaker

This wireless outdoor speaker recharges its batteries from sunlight--not an electrical outlet--and pairs with a cordless iPod dock to deliver incomparable audio flexibility. The dock permits convenient untethered placement of an iPod and streams music to the speaker up to 150' away. The omnidirectional speaker has a 4 1/2" woofer and a 1 1/4" tweeter that project crisp sound in all directions. Its solar panel provides up to 10 hours of power after 15 hours in direct sunlight (may also be charged by AC). The speaker's weather-resistant white ABS cabinet will endure years of outdoor exposure; lights on its front indicate battery life and volume level. An included infrared remote control for the dock lets you control an iPod and speaker volume from up to 50' away; also volume control on the speaker. The dock also accepts RCA input from any other audio source (cable included). It transmits over three selectable channels on the 900Mhz band to provide an interference-free signal for the speaker. Multiple speakers can receive a signal from a single transmitter, enabling you to envelop an area in sound. The dock operates for eight hours on a four-hour charge from the included AC adapter.
