This is the battery-powered ride-on hotrod for an arachnid admiring superhero. Available exclusively from Hammacher Schlemmer, it can be driven by a child or cautiously remote controlled by an arachnophobic parent. The vigilante vehicle zooms into action at a maximum speed of 2 MPH when a child applies his or her foot to the pedal and features an up and down hydraulic-like rocking motion that simulates the movement of a classic coin-operated kiddie ride. Its steering wheel turns the front wheels 20° in either direction and features built-in audio controls that enable a crime-stopping crusader to honk the horn, rev the engine, or activate an integrated voice mimicker that repeats anything said. With scissor-opening doors and LEDs that illuminate the car’s faux motor, headlights, and taillights. A 10-hour charge using the included AC adapter supplies the 12-volt rechargeable battery with up to 50 minutes of power. Requires two AAA batteries for remote.
