This is the fully automated coffee maker that brings your favorite barista to your kitchen in the guise of exactingly designed Swiss mechanics. A simple turn of the dial selects one of 29 different drinks: choosing Latte Macchiato compels the robot to dispense hot milk, then milk foam, followed by coffee, all in perfect proportions. Two 9-oz. hoppers can hold different flavors or brands of beans, and mix them in 25 percent increments, freeing one to order an extra hot soy cappuccino with 75 percent decaf and 25 percent full octane. The rotary selection dial and easy-to-identify buttons make such customization simple. Two professional-quality ceramic disc grinders quietly deliver a finely adjusted grind to the beans, while the dispenser’s patented multi-chamber design froths milk to a feathery foam beyond the capabilities of lesser coffee machines. Dual adjustable spouts allow for this machine to make two cups at once, and a host of other programmable options let the drinker select coffee strengths, water amounts, brewing temperature, aroma levels and other details crucial to achieve the elusive perfect cup.
