This is the jacket with heating elements strategically placed in the chest and back that protects against the worst winter chills without the bulk of a heavy coat. The three thin heating elements are tucked inside one back and two chest panels and connected via imperceptible wires to a lightweight battery pack that stores in the left pocket. Using only one amp of power, the elements quickly and efficiently produce an even heat at four temperature settings that lasts for 2 1/2-10 hours depending on the setting. Ideal for active outdoor work or sports, the slim-fitting jacket has a polyester exterior that repels precipitation, nylon and fleece lining in the body and sleeves, and 80 g of pillowy polyester fiber insulation. A wind flap behind the zipper seals out drafts and a zippered chest pocket offers quick access to keys, cash and other essentials.
