Unlike typical fans that merely claim to be whisper quiet, this model did not produce any measurable noise on its three lowest settings. In tests by the Hammacher Schlemmer Institute, analysts used a sound meter to measure the fan noise and even on its highest of eight settings it only generated 51.5 decibels--quieter than a normal conversation. Its truly whisper-quiet design does not impact performance, thanks to a special turbine design that generates cooling breezes with optimal efficiency. The fan oscillates 90° to provide even, consistent cooling and its timer automatically turns the fan off after one, two, four, or eight hours of operation. Its 12"-diameter base and slim, tower design enables unobtrusive setup. Includes remote control. 39 1/2" H x 12" Diam. (8 lbs.)
