This is the 4' x 4' raised garden bed that supports climbing plants with an integrated 6’-high trellis. The bed‘s 5 1/2"-high panels are made from a durable composite reinforced with strong ABS plastic corners that keep soil contained. Lighter than permanent wooden structures, the trellis consists of two 6' H x 4' W hinged panels made from strong 3" x 3" nylon mesh supported by a stainless steel frame that slides into the bed’s corner posts. Vertical gardening enables more vegetable production in a smaller space, allows for proper airflow, provides a convenient harvesting height, and places fruits out of reach of ground animals. When opened to the south, a trellis full of growth provides an efficient suntrap that captures warmth and also provides passive shade for sun-sensitive plants growing below to the north and east.
