Product Story
This is the sturdy walking stick that opens into a 40" diameter umbrella. When used as a walking stick, the ash derby handle carries a user's weight directly over the shaft, and the handle's classic curved shape prevents a hand from slipping--a design believed to have originated from a request by the Earl of Derby for a walking stick that could be conveniently hung over an arm. The resilient aluminum shaft adjusts in length from 35" to 38" and bears weight without the slightest bend. The umbrella wraps smartly around the shaft when not in use and deploys with an effortless push that locks its eight ribs into place, opening its water-resistant polyester canopy. Tipped with a rubber ferrule. Black. Closed 35" L x 2" Diam. (1 lb.)
