The Weather Impervious Adirondack Chair

Unlike typical Adirondack chairs that deteriorate due to weather, this is the Adirondack chair that is impervious to sun, rain, and snow. Instead of rot- and insect-vulnerable wood, this maintenance-free chair is constructed from weatherproof high-density polyethylene, favored for its defense against mildew, decay, gouges, and wear. Although made from modern materials, the chair has the same high slatted backrest, angled seat, and wide armrests that are hallmarks of Adirondacks that have graced cabins and patios since 1903. All screws and fasteners are made from 316 marine-grade stainless steel—the same corrosion-resistant material used in ships—and its paint includes an ultraviolet inhibitor to prevent fading.
