This device automatically tracks your daily movements and sleep cycles to help determine if you are getting enough exercise and sleep. Similar to NASA technology that monitors astronauts in space, the pocket-sized device has an accelerometer that monitors the intensity and duration of movements, tracks steps taken, distance traveled, and calculates calories burned, as well as an altimeter that measures elevation. The sensor fits in the included wristband allowing you to track how long you took to fall asleep, how often you woke up, and how long you were actually asleep, not just lying in bed. The integrated digital screen displays each reading or the monitor automatically uploads the information to the manufacturer's website wirelessly via Bluetooth when it is within 15' of a paired iPad 3 or later, a notebook computer, or select smartphone (iPhone 4s or later, Samsung Galaxy SIII and Note 2) allowing you to see the readings on timelines and graphs.
