Combining a multi-handset phone with a fax, copier, and digital answering system, this compact communication center makes the most efficient use of valuable space in a home office. It includes a 2.4 GHz phone, and can be expanded up to eight additional phones that operate off a single jack. As a fax machine, it can autofeed 10 sheets of plain paper, and it receives incoming calls automatically (fax calls have a distinctive ring so you'll know not to pick up). In copier mode, the unit makes multiple copies at once, and includes enlarging, reducing and collating functions with a 30-sheet paper tray. The phone handset uses a frequency-hopping digital spread spectrum technology to thwart eavesdropping, and features five-way conferencing as well as a two-way intercom for communication around the office without shouting. Both handset and base have a backlit, four-line LCD screen that is compatible with your local Caller ID service (subscribed to separately). Six selectable ring tones allow you to customize the sound of each handset. The digital answering system has two mailboxes, and can store a total of 18 minutes of messages.
