Product Story

A team of engineers and astronomers spent two years developing this navigator which identifies stars simply by pointing at them. The innovative tracking system also delineates constellations, planets, and other objects. Simply input the nearest city and the date, then, point the navigator at a star cluster and the screen duplicates what you see and identifies it. Advanced technology locates 43 different constellations (visible planets are Venus, Mars, Jupiter, and Saturn) and labels the sky on color-keyed, lighted charts. To find a specific constellation, hold the navigator in front of you and turn in a full circle; a red LED glows when it is located. Then turn the navigator in a circle; when the correct rotation of the constellation is pin pointed, a green LED illuminates. A draw button superimposes the image. With built in electro-magnetic compass. For use in the Northern Hemisphere. Requires four AA and two C batteries. Ages 7 and up. (4 lbs.)
