Product Story

Winner of the prestigious Oppenheim Toy Award, this alarm clock allows you to create up to 1,159 different electronic sound and lightscapes simply by placing different audio modules on the base unit. Seven multi-colored plastic audio transmitting modules correspond to a particular instrument or theme, including Cosmic, Strings, Bass, Percussion, Keyboards, and Soothing. The cube module can be programmed with five-second voice or sound recordings using the base unit's built-in microphone. Any three modules can be placed on the base's three reactive surfaces, and each module is programmed with three different sequences, allowing you to create unique musical arrangements using one, two, or three modules at a time. The reactive surfaces on the base unit receive signals from a module's microprocessor and generate multi-colored lights which pulse in rhythm to the music and pass through the translucent body of each shape. The mode button allows control of tempo, pitch, reverb, and echo for each module sequence. The alarm clock has a sleep function that can be programmed with a favorite sequence combination to help you fall asleep. Includes an audio input for connection to an iPod or similar music source, which allows users to modify pitch, tempo, reverb, and echo for any song played through the base unit. Requires four AA batteries or 9V AC adapter (not included). Ages 5 and up. 9" L x 6 1/2" D x 3 1/2" H (with pieces). (1 lb.)
