This is the ranger hat that releases stored water through evaporation, keeping your head up to 20º cooler than the ambient temperature. Ideal for warm, dry climates, running the hat under cool water for two minutes, gently squeezing out the excess, and wearing provides up to 10 hours of cooling. The hat's mid-layer hydrophilic and hydrophobic fabric liner conducts body heat upwards, while retaining the cool water and releasing it slowly through evaporation. Constructed with a quilted cotton exterior and a water-repellent nylon interior that keeps your head dry. Its 2 1/4" brim provides 360º of sun protection. With tie fastener. Khaki. Sizes S/M (Head size 21 1/2"-22 1/4"), L/XL (22 1/2"-23 3/8"), XXL/XXXL (23 3/4"-24 3/8"). 4 1/2" H x 7" W x 10" D. (2 oz.)
To get the proper fit in a hat, we recommend that you measure your head to determine your proper size according to the standard hat sizing chart shown below.
- Use a good quality tape measure, such as those used for sewing, to achieve the most accurate measurement.
- Wrap the measuring tape around your head. The tape should be placed where you want the hat to rest, usually 1/8-inch to 1/2-inch above the top of your ears. For the best-looking and most comfortable fit, the bottom of the tape should touch your eyebrows while positioned straight around your head. Don't pull the tape too snugly or your hat will fit that tightly.
- Once you've positioned the tape exactly where you want it, measure to the nearest one-eighth inch, or three millimeters.
- Measure your head a second and third time to ensure accuracy.
